“Run for the Magic” Half Marathon, 5K and Kids’ Dash

The “Run for the Magic” Half Marathon and 5K Fun Run/Walk is part of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Summer Running Series and is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. Runners and walkers come from all over the country to tackle the 13.1-mile course that rises and falls 700 feet in elevation.

The starting line is at wheeler park. There are several different race options for both adults and children to participate in. The Half Marathon is a 13.1 mile course at 7,000 ft. elevation, the 5K Fun Run is a 3.1 mile course on city streets and along the Urban Trail, and for the youngsters there is the Kids' Dash, a quick trek from Wheeler Park to Thorpe Park. Participants will also recieve a free spaghetti dinner the night before the race to load up on those carbs. Family and friends are welcome too, for only $3 per person.

Times&Prices:

Half Marathon- Run Starts at 7:30am, Walk starts at 6am. Pre-Registered (before 7/1) is $60, Registered (before 8/13) is $65, Day of Race Registration is $70 at 6am.

5K Fun Run- Starts at 7:45am, Pre-Registered (before 8/1) is $30, Registered (after 8/1) is $35

Kids Dash- Starts immediately after the 5K Fun Run, Flast fee of $10, all kids receive a finishers medal.
