Do you enjoy shooting hoops, talking with young people or making crafts?

Would you like to make a difference in a child’s life?

Then become a LUNCH BUDDY!

A new addition to School Based Mentoring, Lunch Buddies allows Big Brothers and Sisters and Little Brothers and Sisters to meet once a week during their assigned school lunch period. Matches will meet typically about 40-50 minutes, depending on your school’s lunch and recess schedule. At lunch time, matches eat together, play on the playground, swap stories, work on homework, or simply sit and talk..

Lunch Buddies Mentoring Schedule:

Kinsey:

Grades 1-3, 11:30-12:20pm

Grades 4-6, 12:10-1:00pm

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday

Volunteers must meet the following criteria to be matched with a child in our School Based/Lunch Buddies program:

• Be at least 16 years of age
• Be open to being matched with a child in need of a positive adult friend in their life
• Be able to commit to a 1 year relationship, meeting once a week at the child’s school during his/her lunch period for the entire school year
• Complete enrollment, interview, and orientation with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff
