Shareholders' Campaign - May, 2008
The Shareholders' Campaign offers community members the opportunity to contribute to BBBSF by purchasing a “share” in the matches. A share is like buying a piece of stock, it is a donation to the match. This campaign kicks off on the first of May each year.
“Run for the Magic” -
Saturday, August 9, 2008
Our 31th annual Half Marathon and 5K Race is held in Downtown Flagstaff at Wheeler Park. Runners from all over come to enjoy running in the cool pines of Flagstaff each August at a challenging 7,000 feet elevation
This year we will continue with the addition of a timed Half Marathon walk. The Half Marathon Walk will begin at 6:00 am and participants must register as walkers.
We want to support the health of our community on many levels and allow as many people as posssible to participate! In holding to this idea, we are introducing a Kids Dash after the 5K run. Kids will dash from Wheeler Park to Thorpe Park and Back. Registration is $10.00.

We are also offering a new way for our runners to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff and enter the race for free! If you raise $100 by 5:00pm August 8th we will waive your entrance fee. Please call our office for more info.

40th Annual Wine and Beer Tasting - November 2008
The Wine and Beer Tasting Benefit is held each November. Come enjoy sampling delicious wines, beers, and hors d'oeuvres, listening to great musical entertainment and bidding at the silent auction. This fundraiser profits close to $20,000 for the agency each year.
Bowl for Kids' Sake - February 2009
Bowl for Kids Sake is our nation-wide fundraiser; every Big Brothers Big Sisters agency has one. Ours is held every February at Starlite Lanes on East Route 66. 160 teams of five members bowl for one hour each, enjoying lots of fun prizes and a great raffle table. This all day event helps raise approximately $40,000 annually for us. Click here for more information and to sign up a team!
